Gerald was born on a farm west of Plymouth to Benhard and Mabel Schuerman on Nov. 25, 1929. He was baptized from St Paul's Lutheran Church of Plymouth. He graduated from Plymouth High School.

Gerald married Lois Kreuscher in 1951. They had one son, Gary Allen Schuerman. They lived in Lincoln and he worked for Western Electric in Omaha all his life. In May of 1975, he married Beverly Roggenkamp and lived in Omaha.

Gerald is survived by his wife, Beverly; his grandchildren, Stacy and Kendra, children of Gary Allen and Cindy of Kansas City; his sister, Gwendolyn Rahe and husband, Darold of Beatrice.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and his brothers, Dale, Lowell and Larry.

Services: Cremation has taken place.

Inurnment: Lincoln Memorial Park Cemetery, Lincoln.
