Schmitz, Richard J.

Richard retired from Lucent Technologies. He was also former Chief of the
Papillion Volunteer Fire Department. He was preceded in death by his
parents, Ralph and Dora Schmitz; nieces, Kari Williams and Kim Beasley; and
brothers-in-law, Bob Stander and Bob Jones. Survived by his wife, Pam; sons
and daughter-in-law, Stephen and Shelley Schmitz, Papillion, and David
Schmitz, Houston, TX; grandson, Andrew Schmitz; granddaughters, Quinn
Schmitz and Houston Minter-Claiborn; brothers, Robert (Annette) Schmitz, and
Don (Barb) Schmitz; and sisters, Pat Stander, Linda (Al) Grube, and Rosemary
(Kermit) Weiche.
Visitation: Monday 2-5pm at Mortuary. The family will receive friends 6:30-8
P.M., with a wake service 7:30 P.M., all at St. Columbkille Catholic Church.
Services: Tuesday 10:30 P.M. at St Columbkille Catholic Church, Papillion.
Interment: Cedardale Cemetery, Papillion.
Memorials: St. Jude's Hospital or St. Columbkille Catholic Church.
