Pete was born in Volin, South Dakota to Lottie and Martin Peterson.
Memories of his tight knit family, idyllic childhood, and his beloved
mother’s cooking (especially her cinnamon rolls) stayed with him
throughout his life.
Western Electric brought him to Omaha where he married and raised a
family of his own. He enjoyed Yankee baseball, tending to his vegetable
garden, and home projects. Pete’s willingness to lend a hand, quiet
sense of humor, and gentle nature endeared him to all lucky enough to
know him, and he will be greatly missed.
Pete was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Frances; daughter,
Diana; and brother, Bob. He is survived by children: Francesca, Jennifer
(John), Michael (Kathy), Lynda, and LeAnn; son-in-law, Tom;
grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sisters, Esther Klemmensen and
Norma Nyhaug; many nieces and nephews.
Visitation: The family will receive friends on Sunday, May 6th, from 3
P.M. to 5 P.M. at the West Center Chapel.
Services: Monday, May 7th, 10 A.M. at the West Center Chapel.
Interment: Private.
Memorials: Memorials are suggested to American Diabetes Association or
Lutheran Family Services, in lieu of flowers.
Pete work in the die lab of the cable shop, he retired 1 June 1998.
