Alton was born and raised in Council Bluffs to Hazel (Johnson) & Scyburt
Miles.
He served in the US Navy during WWII. Received his bachelors degree from UNO
in Business Engineering completing the Navy V-12 program. He worked at
Western Electric for 30 years in the HR department. A caring husband, dad
and grandpa that was actively involved in church and community.
Preceded in death by parents and brothers, Gordon & Robert.
Survivors include Shirley (Bluhm) Miles, his wife of 63 years. Children &
Spouses: Rich & Diane, Springfield, IL. Greg & Barb, Apple Valley, MN.
Shelley & John Myers, Tucson, AZ. Deanna & David Clopton, Rochester, MN. Bev
& John Eno, Lincoln, NE. 13 Grandchildren, 3 Great Grandchildren.
The family thanks Teri, Jasmine, Velva & Belinda for their compassionate
care over the past year.
Visitation: Sunday 1 P.M. to 8 P.M. with family receiving friends from 5
P.M. to -7 P.M.
Services: Monday 10:30 A.M., St. Paul's United Methodist Church.
Interment: Cedar Dale Cemetery.
Memorials: St. Paul's United Methodist Church.
