Ernest J. Kubr, 54, of rural Filley died unexpectedly as a result of a
tractor accident on Thursday. He was born at rural Prague and graduated
from Omaha North High School in 1980. He attended Southeast Community
College in Milford and received his associate’s degree in tool and dye
making. He worked for Western Electric in Omaha for 28 years and then
moved to Fredonia, KS where he worked for Valent Aerostructures. He
moved to Filley in May of this year. He was a baptized member of Twin
Cities Baptist Church of Bellevue. He enjoyed deer hunting and
photography.
Survivors include one son, Ryan Kubr of Kansas City, MO; two daughters,
Krystin Kubr of St. Joseph, MO and Kelsi Kubr of Lincoln; his mother,
Nadine Jones of Fremont; three sisters, Louise Mills and husband Mark of
St. Joseph, MO, Gloria Brohimer of Omaha and Diane Ranzau and husband
Dave of Minneapolis, MN; one brother, Ray Kubr and wife Jean of
Washington, DC; fiancée, Barbara Denner of Filley. He was preceded in
death by his father, George Kubr; step-father, Harold Jones; one
brother, George Kubr.
Ernest was a tool maker at the plant.
Services: 10 A.M. on Thursday, October 6, 2016 at the Twin Cities
Baptist Church of Bellevue.
Inurnment: 2 P.M. at Memorial Park Cemetery of Fremont.
Memorial: To the family’s choice.
