Phillip was preceded in death by his parents, Harry & Betty Kempkes; sister, Jeanne Johnson.

He is survived by his wife, Donna Kempkes; stepsons, Todd Samland (Kathleen), Pat Samland (Claudia); step-grandchildren, Zac (Jen), Adam (Megan), Anna, Andy (Megan), Hannah & Rachel; nieces, Diana Barton (Nick), Betty Dout.

Visitation: Saturday, Sept 2, 2017, 10 A.M. to 11 A.M., Bel Air Chapel

Services: Saturday, Sept 2, 2017, 11 A.M., Bel Air Chapel.

Interment: Osceola, NE.

Memorials: To Creighton Prep.

Phillip retired from the Work, 4 Aug 2000. He worked in the cable shop.
