Bettie passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 8, in Kearney, NE.

She is survived by fiancé, Dennis VanWinkle; mother, Ventura Alva of Galesburg, IL; brothers: Fred (Kathy) Alva, Manuel Alva, and John Alva, Jr. of Omaha; daughter, Debra Dolezal of Kearney; sons, Joseph (Kristin) Dolezal, and Anthony Walde, all of Omaha; grandchildren: Elizabeth and Nicole Walde, and Connor, Alexis, and Nathan Engel; nephew, Todd (Jodi) Alva of Lincoln, NE; and niece, Amanda (Ryan) Balzer of Oregonia, OH.

Bettie was preceded in death by her husband Joseph Dolezal; daughter Annette Walde-Colgate; grandson Bradley Walde; sister Linda Petroski; father John Alva, Sr.; and grandmother Paula Alva.

She was a member of St. Patricks Catholic Church, Gretna.

Visitation: 5-7 P.M., Monday, with Rosary at 7 P.M. at the Mortuary.

Services: 10 A.M., Tuesday, March 13, at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 508 Angus St., Gretna, NE.

Interment: Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Gretna, NE.

Bettie worked in the 30 Bld. Her husband, Joe, worked in the 50 Bld before his passing.
