Sharon Kay Allas

Sharon Kay Labs Allas was born on February 9, 1944 in Omaha, Nebraska to Leonard and Lois (Neimann) Labs. She grew up in Elkhorn where she attended grade school and high school. As a young girl, Sharon was active in Senior Girl Scouts with her friends. She loved all animals, horses, dogs, cats, etc. The love of cats continued throughout her life always having one in her home.

Sharon married Dean Allas on December 19, 1970 in Papillion, Nebraska and they have made their home in Elkhorn and Elk City before settling in Valley in 1978.

Sharon worked at various jobs before working at Western Electric for 32 years. She enjoyed air boating, racing events, traveling and watching tennis on television. Recently Sharon had become active at the Valley YMCA, playing cards and dominoes. She was a wonderful, thoughtful and generous woman. Sharon enjoyed going to the movies, rooting for Nebraska sports and would also root for the underdog teams, Italian food was a favorite, a cold diet Pepsi and dinner out at Farmer Browns.

Sharon passed away on Saturday, December 17, 2016 at Brookestone Meadows in Elkhorn, Nebraska at the age of 72 years, 10 months and 8 days. She was preceded in death by her parents Leonard and Lois and her sister Judy Bartlett. Sharon is survived by her husband Dean; brother David (Rondi) Labs of Omaha; sister Patricia (Richard) Rowe of Valley; brothers-in-law and sister-in-law Wayne Bartlett of Waterloo and Richard and Patricia Dunn of Minnesota; many nieces and nephews.


Visitation: Wednesday 10 am to 11 am.

Services: Wednesday 11 AM all at the funeral home.

Inurnment: Private

Memorials: To the Valley Fire and Rescue.
